The Newtron idea was born in the summer of 2011, more specifically in August during a trip to the U.S. by Nicola Venuto, founder and current CEO and R&D Manager of Newtron Group.

The home of super-customized vehicles, he literally accessed the classic ‘light bulb,’ making him ponder what future those cars could still have in the modern automotive market, which is increasingly leaning toward environmental issues and the search for new clean energy sources.

Returning to Italy, the Newtron adventure began: a small team, a few rudimentary electric motor prototypes, but a vastness of projects and dreams.

Already by the end of October of the same year, the mission is clear: plug-in hybrid upgrading of all vehicles with heat engines for a new sustainable mobility.

We are after market and at the same time complete the range at zero cost for manufacturers. We are first and foremost Italian, from the design to manufacturing.

Newtron was a vertical foray of a vision, into a market almost taken for granted and the preserve of multinationals only.
We have shown that it can be done, that there are profitable niches, that there is room for new markets. We prove day after day that David can overcome Goliath, and even better that David can help Goliath.
